Documentary photography is about capturing reality as it is. As a photographer, I remain a silent observer, capturing moments without interference. The result is photographs that reflect events in their natural form – without staging or intervention. I accompany events, processes and people in their everyday lives and capture what is revealed in unstaged moments. The pictures tell of the authenticity and the detail that often remains in the background. I work unobtrusively and with restraint. The camera always remains in the background while the scenes and stories unfold in front of me. This creates authentic images that show the moment in its clarity and naturalness.
